Everyday

Excuse me but how the fuck are we supposed to get up everyday at 6AM while being thrown out of bed by an stupid alarm, squeeze into uncomfortable clothes, scoff burnt toast, manoeveur one’s car through everday’s traffic or even worse to get once again into the overstuffed metro while doing everything possible to not suffocate in this moving prison, to finally have arrived at that one place where the last glimmer of hope, joy, and happiness vanished years ago, to then make as much money as fast as possible for someone you only see twice a year while you merely get a fraction of it while still having to be thankful for this once in a lifetime “opportunity” and then still be happy and call this a fulfilling life?

Wouldn’t it be nice if the person who is forced to work could wake up to do the things that fulfill him and give him joy?
Wouldn’t it be nice if the person could reap the fruits of their labor while not being forced to give away most of it?

That he could call life. But the other thing isn’t worth being called life.
And maybe, just maybe said person would then really be thankful and happy to be alive.

But instead you are selling this construct to us you call “life”
just to satisfy your greed and to assisst you to accumulate worthless, materialistic possessions just so that you can forget about your inferiority complex.

We Should All Take A Time Off Sometimes

Nowadays we can’t move fast enough. We multi-task everything we do in the hope of not missing out on life and the many opportunities it offers us. We believe that time is running against us. That time is our enemy. We believe that if we can’t do and get the things we want right now, we will never get to enjoy them. But boy (or girl) are we wrong about that. Just stop for a moment, take a deep breath, and realize that time is NOT your enemy. From now on time is your new best friend for life. You don’t lack time. You lack patience.

As a matter of fact we all do. But believe me when I say that we have more than enough time in our lives because life is the longest thing we will EVER experience. I know. I know. Mind blowing. For those that aren’t convinced don’t come at me with the “But life is too short” stuff. Because, no, life is not too short to experience the beauty of it. If you believe that life is too short, then you just haven’t yet learned about that magic word called “Priorities”. Although life is indeed too short to sit around and whine about how life is too short. So get up and collect some beautiful memories!

But there is more behind taking a time off than just collecting beautiful memories. Distance from the things you are surrounded by in your everyday life can have a huge effect on how you spend your time in the future. Sometimes it is only from a distance that we can see what is really going on in our lives.

Ask yourself if the things you are spending your time on still ignite that little spark in you. Ask yourself if your body is still filled with joy. Ask yourself if you can still see yourself doing this for another few weeks, months, years or even decades. If you can’t find a positive answer to those questions, you may have arrived at that one point in life where you should take a few steps back and really take a look from the distance at your current situation. Locate the things that bother you or leave you unsatisfied and eliminate them. There is no need to carry unnecessary weight with you on your journey.

I told you life is the longest thing we will ever experience but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t spend our time wisely and solely on the things we really enjoy doing. And Sometimes all it takes to get back your energy and happiness is a really long break from the things that surround you.
