Motivation for 2017

The year 2016 is coming to an end. While you still have a few pages to fill with beautiful moments, you should get ready to tackle the next book that is 2017. 365 Pages are waiting for you to be filled with moments of joy, happiness, tears, love, and fun. Many adventures are waiting for you. There are roads that are waiting for you to walk on. There will be new places to discover and to explore. You will meet new people. You will change yourself over the course of 2017 to an even better human being. But don’t go unprepared into this new journey.

Ask yourself what you want to have accomplished by the end of the year. If that is a step too big for you, start by making small steps. Ask yourself what you want to have accomplished in the next three months and split your year into quarters if this suits you better. Even small steps will become one big step when they are added up. Write your goals down. Put them somewhere you see them multiple times a day. Put some on your desk if you spend a lot of time there. Put them on your fridge and you will see them every time you open it. Put them on your bathroom mirror to see them when you get ready in the morning. Let them be present in your daily routine. The power of seeing your goals written down is way too underestimated.

Now 2017 won’t always have it’s upsides. You have to be ready to tackle the downsides as well. No matter if you are going through a break up, loss, failure, grief or self-doubt, you will go out of these situations as a different person. A person that has grown mentally. In times when you are doubting yourself remember that you are exactly there where you should be. Life happens for you not to you. Every obstacle is life testing you if you really want this that you are after. But every obstacle that you pass will bring you closer to where you want to be. Life is not about what happens to you but how you react to it. Your reaction will determine the outcome of every situation. But don’t see a certain situation as a failure when it didn’t work out as you wish it did. Because there is no such thing as failure. It’s just life telling you to follow a different path. Just because it worked for someone doesn’t mean it will work for you. Don’t compare other people’s journey to your own. Each journey is unique. Follow your own path at your own speed and you will get what is made for you.

Be a person that lives in the present. That’s where your focus should be. Don’t look back into your past because you are not going there. It made you to the person you are right now and lead to the moment you are in right now but there is no need to spend all your energy on it because you can’t change it anyway. Live in the here and now. What you will be is decided by what you do now. Only those who live in the present can decide their future.

Don’t worry if you haven’t found your passion yet. Maybe 2017 will be the year you will find it but maybe you will never find your passion. That’s right maybe you will never find your passion. But that is because you don’t have one. Yes I am really telling you that you might not have a passion. For some people having a passion just doesn’t work. That is decided by nature. For those who don’t have a passion don’t worry you are not doomed. You are just living a life that is driven by curiosity. For you having a passion just doesn’t work because there isn’t that one thing that ignites fireworks in your soul. You will go from one station of your life to another and another. You will try this thing and that thing. You have to try a lot of things and that is not weird at all. If you are such a person you just keep doing that because that is the path you should follow and when you do that someday you will realize that you are exactly where you are meant to be. If you can let go of this thought that everybody should follow their passion and just go with your curiosity, your curiosity will eventually lead you to your passion.

Always remember that everything happens for a reason and you are exactly there where you are meant to be at this moment.
